Kindness is an extension of love through our words and actions toward others. Love is the key and source of true kindness. How can we be kind to others if we do not have Love? If the Golden Rule is to be the guiding principle for our encounters with others, our intentions must be rooted in Love. This fuel for authentic kindness is within and available in abundance to all who seek it. From my experience, the greatest Love that can be attained is through the realization and acceptance of a Divine creator of all. A creator who always was, is and will always be. The same Lord God Almighty who led the Israelites out of bondage from Egypt. The same God who sent His only Son, Jesus, to live, die and be resurrected for the payment of our sins. The same God who promises us eternal life with Him if we only repent of our sins to Him while accepting as reality the redeeming actions of Jesus as reported in the Holy Bible.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life”.
John 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends”.
Whatever your acknowledged source of Love, draw upon it when showing kindness to others. Hopefully this can help you to be kinder to others with pure intentions rooted in love. How have you shown kindness to others?
